About HireRecon
HireRecon is part of the Operation Tango Recon Family — a suite of military transition intelligence tools built on the TIE Platform (Transition Intelligence Engine).
What HireRecon Does
Employers who want to hire veterans often don't know which military backgrounds to target. Military occupational codes are opaque to civilian hiring managers, and there's no straightforward way to translate "I need a network engineer" into the specific Army, Navy, or Air Force codes that produce those candidates.
HireRecon solves that by querying 77,989 federal crosswalk records — and using AI to rank and explain the results in the context of your specific job opening. You get a list of military codes, the branch that uses them, their formal civilian occupation equivalents, and a plain-language explanation of why each one is relevant to your position.
The tool is designed for HR professionals, hiring managers, military recruiting programs, and veteran employment coordinators who need accurate sourcing intelligence — not generic "hire a vet" platitudes.
Our Approach
Evidence-Based, Not Opinion
Every result traces back to a federal government data source or a formally documented crosswalk. We do not invent mappings or assert alignment without supporting data.
Transparent Methodology
Our matching pipeline is fully documented. You can see exactly which data source produced each result and understand why it was ranked the way it was.
Employer Intelligence, Not Recruiting
HireRecon helps you understand which military backgrounds to target. We do not contact veterans on your behalf, manage applications, or act as a staffing intermediary.
